Review- Juicy Chemistry Grapeseed Oil and The Right Way to Use it
Lately I have been reading a lot about carrier oils and
essential oils, some of the oils that really intrigued me were rosehip oil, grapeseed, tamanu oil and tea tree and rosemary essential oils because of
the fascinating benefits they offer. I have heard really good things about the
brand Juicy Chemistry, so I decided to buy their grapeseed oil and tea tree
essential oil.
About The Brand Juicy Chemistry-

Ingredient Analysis-
Extracted from Grape seeds, Grapeseed oil is very
lightweight due to the high amounts of linoleic acids. I bought this because of
my excessive oily skin , the sebum ( natural oil produced by our skin) of oily
skin tends to be very high in oleic acid and low in linoleic acid. The more the
oleic acid in any oil the thicker it is such as olive oil, castor oil and oils
with high linoleic acid are light such as rosehip oil, grapeseed oil. This is
the reason oily skin has very thick and sticky sebum in comparison to other
skin types which leads to clogged pores and acne. Thus, applying oils rich in
linoleic acid can help balance out the oily skin’s oleic and linoleic acid
content and also reduce acne.
Due to the
high linoleic acid it can go rancid quickly therefore it is provided in a dark
glass bottle and may have a shelf life of 3-6 months.
Usage-
Take a small amount
in your fingertips and gently message onto affected area. Leave it open until
completely absorbed.
The right way to use facial oils-
1.
Use on damp skin-
I like to use facial oils on slightly damp
skin as it helps in better absorption and prevents clogged pores. So, I just use
some FabIndia rosewater or Innisfree Green Tea Moisture Skin ( you can use any
other toner of your choice, or even just plain water) on my face and then
gently pat the facial oil- 3-4 drops on my face and 2-3 drops on my neck.
2.
Exfoliate Regularly-
Exfoliation is one of the
important steps in skincare routine which becomes even more important if you
are using facial oils especially if you have greasy skin, exfoliating removes
the layer of dead skin cells from your skin which when piled results in clogged
pores as everything that you apply is going to be absorbed by the dead cells
rather than your new cells.
3. Sunscreen-
The Most important part in any
skin care routine, doesn’t matter if its raining or anything the sun rays are still there
you gotta make sure that you use an “effective” sunscreen, because you might use the most extraordinary products on your
skin, if you don’t use sunscreen its all in vain. So use your sunscreen, you don’t want sun damage right.
My Expierience with Juicy Chemistry Grapeseed Oil-
I’ll be honest with you guys I was really skeptical when I
bought this , because whenever I bought some produts from somewhat newly
introduced brands with some really interesting claims and products , they never
worked for me. Especially when it comes to organic skin care, I don’t trust much
brands. But I never given up on the hope that someday I’ll find a budget
friendly organic skin care brands that is Indian and their products actually
work. So, I kept my fingers crossed and bought 2 products from Juicy Chemistry.
I decided to try this product for atleast 2-3 months before writing the review,
because every single product does takes some time to show results and I
have stopped thinking of skincare products
as of some sorcery , diet and exercise played a huge role in transforming my
face from full of acne to somewhat clear skin after ages.
I have used this facial oil for more than 3 months but I didn’t notice
any reduction in my acne or sticky sebum and my skin still produces sebum like
it was just born to do this. May be its just me, because everyone’s skin is
different and skin care products show different results on different skins, but
this is legit one of the best moisturisers I have ever used and if you have
oily skin and looking for a moisturiser then babe, you gotta give this a try
and I love this because it did not cause me acne or clogged pores because my
skin reacts to every single product it doesn’t like.
